This morning I had to wake up at 3:30 and travel to Dallas for class. As I was driving on the highway the sun had yet to rise. The radio was in the background but my focus was on “nothing.”
That’s right. I was focused on “nothing”. I know I should have been paying attention to the road and paying attention to the other drivers but my mind was at peace! How often do we allow ourselves to bask in the presence of peace?
I was able to commune with God and to clear my mind of the problems, trials, tribulations and messes in my life and to just lay in peace. We need more peace days than peril days.
We can have peace if we want but the devil steals our peace because we leave the door open.
In Philippians 4:7 we have a promise: “The peace of God, which passes all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” God promises peace to those who desire peace and guards the peace that is granted to you.
I need to do more to preserve my peace. I need to not allow the devil to steal and rob me of the peace that God has blessed me with. Every chance you get you should take the time out and find peace, pray for peace, promotes peace and keep the peace. Peace is the catalyst for a healthy life!
Yes Lord! Nothing like the peace of God! Bless God for that peace!
Might I add that with that peace we get clarity, we get clutter cleared from our minds and we get an opportunity to have complete fellowship with God.
While God gives his people peace after a storm, He also creates his best sailors in the choppy waters of life. Thanks for sharing, be blessed.
