“Learn the Way Yourself”

Today as I was traveling through the Dallas area, I made a comment to the passenger and said, “I am so dependent on the Google Map that I don’t pay attention and if it messes up, I wouldn’t know my way back!”

Often times we are so dependent on others for directions in our lives that we don’t know how to find our way back to where we are supposed to be. I remember the ancient times of relying on dropped breadcrumbs or rocks to find the way back. I remember the times where we would notice landmarks that gives us the indicator that we are on the right way back. Now, we rely on a voice and an arrow to tell us how to get there and back. The problem is that we are not paying attention to the route that we took.

Life has many directions for us and I have learned that I need to pay attention to where I am going and where I came from so that I know where I need to be going forward. Have you ever tried to give directions or had someone to give you directions. Their delivered directions are based on their perceived points of placements. Their detailed directions may not be clear or interpreted correctly for you to understand. It is not that they are wrong, but that it is their understanding of their directions.

What God has for you in your life is tailor made for your life. Only God can lead you where you need to go. Trust Him and Him only for the correct path and destination. Proverbs 3:5-6 states, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not to thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths.”
