Are we still to live according to biblical principles? We read, teach and preach the Word of God but yet we are battling a culture that is comprising and has comprised the Gospel. Even Evangelicals are turning their heads to some of the worldly cultures that are presenting themselves in our daily living.
We now have transgenders, homosexuals, adulterers, murderers, etc. that are demanding that the world recognize and even accept cultures that are contrary to the Word of God. Paul wrote to Timothy in the 4 chapter that there will come a time when they will not endure Sound Doctrine. Even the church has accepted this contrary behavior in order to keep people in the pews!
I believe that we do not revere and fear the Lord. When the Lord spoke and calmed the winds and the waves in Mark chapter 4, the text said “And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?” I believe that we have reduced God to a common God that we do not fear with respect of His power and reverence.
As a child I did not do certain things for fear of being reprimanded by my mother. FEAR is what kept me from doing things that I knew was wrong to do. Have we lost that fear of God and His justice that we no longer care about the circumstances of our actions? Or have we taken Grace for granted that we feel that we can live, talk and act any way we want without fear of discipline from God?
I don’t use Grace as a unlimited drip, but I thank God for His Grace and Mercy with the knowledge that at any time it can dry up and not be available!
Sound Off!

As Christians aren’t we suppose to love everyone? Loving someone who is homosexual, transgender, bisexual, etc. doesn’t mean we accept their behavior but that we love them as a person. So, I wouldn’t go as far to say that because I gay person is sitting in a pew that their sexual behavior is acceptable. I don’t believe that God rates out sins bad to worse but that our sins are equal in the eyes of God. As Jesus said, “He who is without sin cast the first stone.” Great post! Keep em comin’!
When I say that the church is turning it’s head. I am not saying run them away from church but I am saying to where we accept it as though it is not sin. You are right. No sin is greater than another but when we act as though the sin is not sin, that is the issue. When the Lord spared the woman caught in adultery he never said she didn’t sin. He did however turn it on those who wanted to condemn the woman that they didn’t have the authority to do so. He told her, “Go and sin no more!”
