Why do we go through trials and tribulations? Why do we endure the hardships of life? Why does it seem like we are being punished? I am sure many of us who have had to endure rough times have asked these questions. Many of us are tricked by the devil into believing that what we have gone through is always our fault. Job’s friends accused him saying that he must have done something wrong unto God for the losses he suffered. His own wife told him that he should just cut his losses, curse God and die!
I love the passage in John 9 where the disciples asked Jesus, “who sinned, this man or his parents that he was born blind?” They assumed that because he went through life with issues that he or his parents did something wrong. Jesus answered and said, “neither, he was born blind so that the glory of God may be made manifest in him!”
Sometimes our issues are not iniated by us! Sometimes we are used by God for His glory! I have learned to adopt the reality that sometimes…It is not about us!
Paul said I glory in my infirmities! Are you happy to be used by God inspite of what you are going through? Are you willing to be a witness for the Lord through your struggle?
I would rather be oppressed with God than to be impressed by man! Stop throwing a pity party and join the party and give God praise no matter what circumstance you are in!
