Many of us struggle with faith. I believe that is why God did not ask that our faith be gigantic…he said the size of a mustard seed. He lets us know that we need faith (without faith it is impossible to please God). If we are honest with ourselves many of us struggle with faith.
The biblical definition of faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. Abraham was commended for his faith because the word says, “He went out not knowing”.
My definition of faith is: Operating in blindness with confidence that things will work the way God wants them to work.
Faith is easy when you can see the outcome. But that is not faith. We want to know what will happen when we make the decision. We think we want Free Will…but we don’t want the responsibilities of Free Will.
I want God to lead me in every way. Because of my flesh and sinful ways, I don’t know how to choose the way God wants me to choose. But when my faith is where it needs to be…God’s will for my life will be made manifest and will be carried out in my life.
If I believe in God and His attributes, I believe in His omnipotence. He has ALL power to do what he wills to do in our lives.
